Never Settle

“Awww, you’re single. I’m sorry.”

This is the perfect time to look puzzled at folks who make such comments and ask them why!  A single status isn’t anything to be sorry about. It’s not a disease or a terminal illness. I like to call it a blessing that allows some people to live differently from others. Single women and men are 100% independent and many are happy. Whenever you come across someone who blurts out a “I’m sorry, you’re single” comment, be sure to highlight your fun, growth and uniqueness. Never allow someone to shame your relationship status. You are victorious, not a failure or less of woman.

Excuse me, what did you say to me?

Excuse me, what did you say to me?

The Art of Being Happily Single

When you’re single, yes, you tend to do most things alone. You may go to the movies alone, or to a wedding alone, but being single doesn’t mean those who are, actually feel lonely. Why do so many folks view single life as a negative? Being single should be a time when the individual tap into their independence and recognize the status as an opportunity for growth.

Living a single life can mean happiness. Of course there’s freedom associated with the lifestyle but so is art. Why? Because there is an art to being happily single and it starts with the individual.
